There are a variety of undergraduate scholarships available for Ghanaian students to study in Ghana. These scholarships are provided by organizations, universities, and the government to Ghanaian students.

MasterCard Foundation Scholarship Program at Ashesi University College

 

The MasterCard Foundation will fund half of the scholarships, which will be offered to Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians alike.

 

This scholarship covers not only full tuition, but also lodging in Ashesi's residence halls, meals on campus, a free laptop, spending money, and annual excursions home for overseas students after the second year.

KNUST/MasterCard Foundation Scholarships

 

The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) provides academically outstanding but economically disadvantaged young people in Ghana and Africa with access to quality and relevant university education.

GNPC Undergraduate Scholarships

The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) offers undergraduate scholarships to potential Ghanaian students through the GNPC Foundation. The scholarship is available for degree programs at authorized public tertiary institutions in Ghana. Tuition, living expenses, book allowance, and dissertation/project allowance are all covered by the scholarship.

Tertiary Education Scholarship Trust (TEST) for Ghana Scholarships

 The Tertiary Education Scholarship Trust (TEST) gives four-year Full or Partial Scholarships to Needy but Outstanding Students to pursue new and/or continuing Tertiary Education studies at Ghanaian Public Universities and Polytechnics in their home country.

MTN Ghana Bright Scholarships for Undergraduate Ghanaian Students

 The MTN Ghana Bright Scholarship is sponsored by the MTN Group Foundation. It is being introduced to assist 100 talented and deserving Ghanaians in completing their tertiary studies.

 

Over a three-year period, 300 scholarships will be awarded, with recipients chosen from all 16 regions of Ghana. This scholarship will cover tuition, housing, and a stipend for books and other relevant reading materials.

KNUST-Tullow Tertiary Scholarship

 

The KNUST-Tullow Tertiary Scholarships are available to Engineering students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

 

The KNUST-Tullow Tertiary Scholarship is completely supported for Ghanaian students for a maximum of four (4) academic years.

Empowering Africa Inc. Full Tuition Scholarship

 

Empowering Africa Inc. is soliciting applications for a one-year full-tuition scholarship. This award is exclusively offered to Ghanaian students pursuing a study in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

 

Applicants must be academically strong, community-minded, and eager to make a difference in their communities. We will accept applications from students wishing to study at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi. Students who obtain the scholarship will have their WASSCE scores formally checked.

Barclays Tertiary Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Ghanaian Students

 

This is a collaborative endeavor between Barclays Bank Ghana and the University to further enhance Barclays Bank's commitment to addressing societal concerns while contributing to the country's economic progress.

Scholarships for Undergraduate Students from Educational Pathways International (EPI).

 

EPI only accepts applications from students admitted and registered at the University of Ghana, Accra, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, and the University for Development Studies (UDS).

 

UG-Tullow Tertiary Scholarship Scheme

 

The UG-Tullow Tertiary Scholarship Scheme is for Level 100 and Year 1 Masters students from low-income families who want to study at the University of Ghana.

 

The scholarship will cover tuition, books, and room and board for as long as good academic standards of at least a B average or 3.0 CGPA are maintained and financial necessity is proved.

Standard Chartered Scholarships

 The Scholarship is offered to all Ghanaian students in their first and second years who are Brilliant but Needy Students of KNUST who are pursuing a full-time degree in Pure Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), BSc. Human Biology, and BSc. Agriculture.

UEW Vice-Scholarship Chancellor's Fund

Vice-Scholarship Chancellor's Fund (VCSF) for Brilliant but Needy Students at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

UPSA VCEF Scholarship

 The scholarship award packages will be divided into two categories: full scholarships (covering tuition, miscellaneous university-approved expenses, hostel accommodation, and a stipend for books and study materials) and partial scholarships (covering tuition fees, miscellaneous university-approved charges).

Foundation Education Scholarships


The Fondazione Edu's operations are intended to stimulate capacity building in Africa and result in the provision of scholarships for university studies that cover the entire cost of training as well as the costs associated with it.


The scholarship is available to students at the University of Ghana (UG) Legon and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

 

Unibank Undergraduate Scholarships for Ghanaian Students


Unibank Ghana Limited, in collaboration with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), is providing scholarships to needy but talented students at the university in order to assist them complete their education successfully.

General Electric Undergraduate Scholarships

General Electric will grant flat-rate scholarship funding through "the GE Scholarship" to specific University of Ghana under-graduate students studying BA Computer Science and some BSc Applied Sciences.

 

The Scholarship covers academic and residential costs as well as a book allowance. Furthermore, leadership training and limited internships may be provided as long as an exceptional academic quality of at least a 2.5 CGPA is maintained and necessity is proved.

S.T Nankani Foundation is a Scholarship Scheme that provides a one-year scholarship to Brilliant but Needy Students in order for them to pursue their University Education at KNUST.

EY CSR Scholarship

 

The EY CSR Scholarship is given to undergraduate students at the University of Ghana who are from low-income communities.

 

Eligible candidates who have received an EY Ghana CSR award in the current year will be eligible for renewal of the EY Ghana CSR for the next year(s) if they maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher and are in need of the funds.

 

The Scholarship will cover academic and residential costs as well as a book allowance.

The SRC Yi Bi Boa Scholarship is a program that strives to provide financial assistance to deserving and talented University of Ghana students.
